A cartoon

A few weeks ago, one of our favorite blogs, Ray The Blind Dog, posted a picture of a cartoon http://www.raytheblinddog.com/2013/01/too-true.html and that reminded me of one of the cartoons we have posted on our fridge.

Which then got me thinking of For The Love of Dogs blog and their caption contest http://fourpaws0504.blogspot.ca/2013/02/caption-contest-time-to-vote.html

Happy Wednesday!

    1. I'm thinking that the three of you could work together to get up there! Of course, SHE wouldn't leave anything though, right?

  2. Boy, I tried getting up on the counter. You would have thought I had commited the crime of the century.

    1. Oh Bert, sometimes humans over react, don't we? Our blind Breeze is tall enough to get her nose and front feet on the counter and acts all innocent when I ask her what she's doing. That "who...me?" thing.

    1. I think I would have been laughing too hard to find a camera and take a picture if I saw that in my kitchen!

  4. Both the comic and photo with captions, hilarious! (and thanks for the blog plug, but now that Ray is such a good dog, I have nothing to write about).
The comic kinda reminds me of a story that was told to me when I first got Ray by someone who knew someone with a Redtick Coonhound. It involved the hound learning how to open the refrigerator while they were at work. They came home to an empty refrigerator and barf all over the house.
I'm not sure if the story was supposed to make me immediately take Ray back to the rescue from which I adopted him, but the look of horror on the woman's face while she was telling the story was priceless. Still make me laugh every time I think about it.

    1. Oh. come on, we want to hear about what Ray is doing, not just "bad" stuff!

A story like that when you first adopted Ray would have been hilarious! I am honestly sure that if given the chance (if they weren't crated) my pack would be into the fridge just to see what's there.
It's always funny when it's somebody else!

  5. My favorite cartoon is a Gary Larson where the dog pulls a gun on the owner and firmly states "I'm through begging, bucko!". Makes me laugh every time!

Riley "counter surfs" when she thinks we aren't looking. She usually gets caught. Our other dog, Chloe, used to be able to open our refrigerator and eat all our food out of it (til we got a fridge lock) and would jump up in the kitchen and dining room chairs then jump on top of the table and stroll around searching for goodies. All of a sudden, you would walk in the dining room and there would be Chloe just walking around on the table, helping herself to whatever she wanted to eat that was up there!

    Bad dogs........

    1. Blind puppy Breeze has tried surfing a couple of times and Forest will stand on the (securely latched) tote of kibble and lean waaayyy over to see what's up there. He could very easily jump on the counter but never has. Good boy!

  7. Counter surfing is a felony in our house... but that doesn't stop 'em!

    1. I have always said that the cats aren't allowed on counters so there is no way dogs are allowed! Of course, that usually generates an innocent look!
