Monday mischief

Two of our pack have a "thing" for shoes.  Hiker likes to gather footwear and put it in a pile or take it into her crate.  Breeze likes to play with footwear.  Neither of them are destructive about it so it isn't something that I worry too much about.  It can be annoying when one shoe ends up outside and is forgotten and then gets rained on but other than that, it isn't a big deal.

The other day, Breeze had a shoe outside and was throwing it around and having fun finding it again.  I gave a fleeting thought to the fact the doggie pool was close by but again, only a fleeting thought.

I should have thought more about it.

The shoe on the right ended up in the pool and then in the red dirt.

After a few days of wearing mismatched shoes the dirt was gone and now they look the same again.  Until next time.

  1. Just give her the other shoe. We don't see a problem.

  4. On rare occasions Blueberry will take one of my shoes outside - but thankfully, she's never chewed it or dropped it in the water! Too funny! You need GPS tracking for your shoes so you know where they are at all times! ;)

  5. HAHAH there is a greyhound that was just rescued by my group called Cyclone who has a thing for shoes.... so much so that she went to the next farm and stole the kid's shoes and hid them.... the owner/trainer had to buy the kids new shoes hahaha

  6. Somehow, I doubt that you are the type of person who is overly concerned about the appearance of her footwear. LOL! Wrigs has never shown any interest in our shoes, but he was an adult when we got him--maybe in his younger days they would have caught his fancy. :-)

  7. Uh oh! My old dog used to displace shoes too. I was always on a wild goose hunt to find the match...usually out in the yard like yours:/
