What the dog ate

As the east coast excavation continues, there is now a new source of yummy.

That's Azule and no she isn't eating grass.

Yes, she is eating dirt.

Why?  I don't know.

I'm not too concerned about it.  My first Cattle Dog Cairo used to eat dirt too.  The vet said that it was nothing to be concerned about as long as it wasn't contaminated dirt from pesticide spraying in the area.

I wonder if the east coast dirt just tastes better.

    1. Oh Daisy, why do you do that? Is it partly to get HER going? I sometimes wonder.

  4. When Azule starts pooping bricks, you'll know it's time to curb her habit! ;-)

    1. There haven't been any bricks but let us tell you that dirt does not get digested! Looks almost the same.

  7. Since I wrote a novel, "What the Dog Ate", of course I had to come check this out right away. :) I'm glad your dog isn't eating what the dog in What the Dog Ate ate - panties...

My sis's last corgi started eating dirt late in his life. They had no idea why either. Didn't seem to hurt him!

  8. Wow, never seen a dog eat dirt! My dogs will rapidly eat grass when a new dog comes over--they just all line up and graze. I wonder if it's a nervous habit?
