Remember how I mentioned that Forest and Brook and Azule all tried out the basket of laundry as a place to lay? Forest especially liked it so, being the type that I am - one of those that wants the dependents to be happy and comfortable - we now have a dedicated dog bed laundry basket in the kitchen.
I even repaired the handles so that there would be no chance of Forest getting pinched. Ah...how great is that. A nice comfy bed for Forest, right? Should keep him happy. Except that Forest has been watching blind puppy Breeze. She has a big dog way of leaning on furniture. I've asked people we know with bigger dogs and they all say their dogs do this, so it must be a big dog thing.
So Forest decided that while the basket/bed is nice, there might be something to this standing and leaning on things while chewing.
Or maybe it's the pink satiny kid's sleeping bag that is in the basket for him to lay on. But, hey, it's pink camouflage on the other side. Yes, I know. It's still pink. Maybe I'll change it to a more "manly" colored sleeping bag for him. Or maybe I might just reclaim that laundry basket.
HILARIOUS
ReplyDeleteIt seems that with a pack, there is always something going on!
DeleteI sent you an email. Looking forward to VDOs.
ReplyDeleteThat is very sweet! My medium-sized foster pup does the leaning thing too, but none of them have discovered laundry baskets yet. Its a great idea though--I bet Star would love it!
ReplyDeleteBreeze has been a leaner for a while now, she just keeps growing! The laundry basket thing is something they discovered a few weeks ago, not sure why now. It's a great way to reuse an older, falling apart basket.
DeleteHa! I love that you made them a bed out of the laundry basket. If they are going to lie in it anyway, may as well make it comfortable for them! Too cute. :-)
ReplyDeleteI thought the pink satiny looked nice but apparently it's not quite what Forest had in mind - a pile of dirty clothes is better.
DeleteOne of my collies, Abby, curled up in our laundry basket. But I will confess, I never even thought about getting her one of her own! (But now, thanks to you, she will have her very own laundry basket bed this weekend! lol)
ReplyDeleteAbby says thanks!
You're welcome Abby! Be sure and post some pictures so we can see how much she likes it (or not!)
DeleteLove the learned leaning behavior - that's soooo funny!!!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome are you to make that laundry basket bed? Way cool!
Uh...thanks for thinkin' I'm awesome for making that basket bed, most people just think I'm a bit nuts! :)
DeleteCute pics!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThese shots are just so HAPPY!! Sure can tell your pack is very content. :)
ReplyDeleteHonestly, not a day goes by without a few laughs. We might be a bit crazy, but yes, we're all very happy!
DeleteWhat goofballs! Why are pets in laundry baskets always so cute? Kaya & Norman sometimes get off the couch with their front end and stay on with their hind end. It is so weird.
ReplyDeleteLeaving the hind end on the couch - a couple of mine do that all the time! it is weird, especially when they just hang there. Am I supposed to scratch or something?
DeleteYour pups are such a happy and goofy bunch! Isn't it funny how they imitate each other? Breeze is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteGoofy is right! With a pack it is so interesting to watch how they watch each other and copy, some good, some not so good!
DeleteI would so be the type to do something like that to accomodate my pups just because they seemed to enjoy it! Breeze is sooooo pretty.
ReplyDeleteAs I always say, it's all about them!
DeleteThat half on/half off thing is so cute! It's as though they are semi-resting, yet ready to go in a flash. :-)
