A couple of days ago a truck from the township's public works department stopped at the end of our driveway (thanks to the pack, especially Forest, for the intruder alert). Once the workers left, we all went back outside to see what they had done.
They installed a sign. About two feet from the end of our driveway (we live close to a corner).
I told the pack what was on the sign and the blind visually impaired trio, Hiker, Brook and Breeze all decided that it must mean that where we live, dogs are people too!
How nice your town is, to put up a sign for your canine citizens! :)
ReplyDeleteSince it makes them feel so special, we're not going to tell them it's not really for them!
DeleteWhat are the odds? Very cool!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw what the sign was, I couldn't stop laughing! It still makes me smile every time I look at it, especially when we're walking.
DeleteWow that's really cool. That's how things should be!
ReplyDeleteI'm tempted to get in contact with the township office and say thanks. My luck, I'd get somebody without a sense of humor though.
DeleteLook at sign with caution. We gave up 'visually' impaired because it could be interpreted as 'ugly'. So we say vision impaired...just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteDog are not people.....we are of a higher order.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
That's great! I do have to agree that dogs rank above people in my world view!
ReplyDeleteYour trio of dogs should be safer if people are driving more carefully due to the sign, so it's a good thing!
I totally agree, well done city!
ReplyDeleteMaggie
Cool sign, I agree with Daisy, Bella, Roxy, dog are better than people!!
ReplyDeleteCotton
What an odd coincidence! I'd love to know the back story on this one! I'm picturing a car pulling out without regard to traffic and weaving erratically down the road. LOL!
ReplyDeleteIf it slows people down, that's great! :-)
Susan and Wrigs
That must be EXACTLY what that means! Haha, awesome. And I completely agree. :)
ReplyDeleteWell it should be for the pups! Such a cool sign :)
