Basket case, again.

Do you remember how Forest became interested in the laundry basket and decided that it was the best place to lay?  Here's a picture of the basket after I duct taped the handle and added some dog bedding to it.

For a few weeks, Forest and a few of the others lay in it and it became a fixture in the kitchen.  Then, for some reason known only to them, it was no longer worthy as a bed.  So, I decided to reclaim it and use it for laundry.

Yesterday was another warm and sunny day and I hung laundry outside. When I brought in the baskets of clean, fresh and wonderfully smelling laundry, guess what?  Yes, Forest decided that laying in the laundry basket would be a wonderful idea.

Now, I do have to give him credit for choosing the basket that was designated for dogs, but, that is clean laundry!  Of course, it did smell really nice from hanging outside.

Oh no, the dilemma - to rewash or let it go. I would just let it go! BOL! Have a great weekend!

    1. Yup - dusted it off and into the drawers! It wasn't work clothes, just renovation type stuff. The only thing to decide is whether or not to put the basket back as a dog bed.

  2. Forest probably thought it was super thoughtful of you to provide him with such nice, fresh, clean bedding!

    1. You are getting to know Forest really well. I too thought that since, you know, it is all about him and the others.

  3. Hehehe, he's just a super smart pup! Probably figured after a few dogs used it, it needed a little freshening up as well...so he'd wait until it and the "bedding" was clean again! ;-D

    1. Well, good theory but all the bedding gets washed weekly. I'm wondering if the little bugger just wanted more "bedding". Or maybe some extra attention! Ah, who knows!

He found a fresh place to relax! That's funny that all of a sudden it's once again desirable!

Yes, I'm sure I was quite a sight walking around the car 3 or 4 times to get my goofy dog out of the back! :) I'm glad your pack likes the vet (or at least tolerates it, in some of their cases)...Riley sure doesn't. I have to assure them that she doesn't always act that crazy!

    1. Luckily, Forest wasn't muddy or dirty so the laundry was okay. Just another fun moment with dogs!

    1. You are so right. A few of the pack will help themselves to the pile of laundry as I am putting it in the washing machine.

  7. If we leave a pile of laundry layign on the couch or the closet floor it's often one of the pups will cuddle up on it. I think they just want to be on top of a comfy pile of our clothes that still carries their humams scent. :)

    1. I think you're right, the same as wanting to dig around in the covers on the bed!

    1. I think that Forest also knows that I will give in and load up a basket with dog bedding and leave it for him. Geez, he's so spoiled! (as they all are and yes, they deserve it!)

  9. Here's a clue: when you need the laundry basket - that is when it becomes the most enticing for the dogs! ;)
