The past two days have been sunny and warm. Really warm. Temperatures of 24C/75F with blue skies.
So we were outside enjoying the weather, doing some yard work and getting to know our foster pup Twiggy. She is a really affectionate pup who is eager to please and super food motivated. Or maybe we just have yummy treats!
Now that the warm weather is here, the pack is back playing around and under their "fort". It is the one place in the yard where they are allowed to dig since it is under one of the big trees and the grass doesn't grow.

The "fort" is also a great place to have a nap. As you can see, Twiggy is now a part of the pack. (No, she is not staying!) She has been totally accepted and has the most fun playing with Breeze and Azule.
Callie played Frisbee
and JollyBall.
Twiggy found raking to be very boring and fell asleep. It is hard to get good help!
Azule lay under the pine tree at the back of the yard and watched for birds. We have at least two nests and she enjoys chasing the birds as they fly out.
I've been taking lots of pictures of Twiggy for the rescue to use in her profile on Petfinder. Here she is sitting nicely and wondering where her new forever home will be!
It is definitely hard to get good help! I like their little fort area! So do they, LOL!
ReplyDeleteBuilt that fort myself (a carpenter I am not!) They have so much fun goofing around under there and the blind trio rarely bump in to it.
Delete:) She really DOES fit in nicely with your pack...
ReplyDeleteI smiled all the way through this post, thanks for sharing your day!
Yes, she does but she is not staying! I have to keep reminding myself of that.
DeleteGlad we could give you a smile today!
We have been having nice weather (up until today...) and have been enjoying the great outdoors, too! Looks like the pups have a great time playing in their fort. Twiggy is too cute! Love that picture of her for Petfinder! :)

When it's nice like this, I put the cats in a room with the windows open and leave the side door open so the dogs can go in and out whenever they want. Ahh...I love summer weather!
DeleteShe's a beauty and I'm so glad you are taking photos. So many times the photos on petfinder are not flattering. If we'd made our decision based upon how nice the dog looked in the photo, we wouldn't have Delilah. :-(
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about some of the pictures. Same thing here with our girl Azule. It was a little and slightly blurry photo. Glad there are people like us that can look beyond a non-flattering photo and give a deserving dog a home.
DeleteThose beautiful, warm days are just right for napping outside!

We think Twiggy is beautiful.
Agreed! The funny thing is that they are all so curious that they rarely do more than lightly doze so when they come inside, they are asleep almost instantly.
DeleteAw, Twiggy is absolutely beautiful, I'm sure that she'll find a forever home really quickly!! :-D Very cool that everyone is getting along so well too! Enjoy the fantastic weather!!
ReplyDeleteTwiggy is a really cute pup and has settled in very well with the pack. We are loving this weather!
DeleteLooks like such a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteI just love the froggy doggy pose under the tree... so comfy! Twiggy is settling in so nicely, and she is such a beautiful girl :-)
Wishing a happy weekend to you all!
The weather has been fantastic lately and we are sure enjoying it!
DeleteLove that the pups have a club house. So darn precious. I will be sad to see Twiggy go. Any interest yet?
ReplyDeleteAdmittedly, it is not the greatest built thing but they sure love it. Twiggy hasn't been posted yet, I think they are waiting until her spay surgery, which should be in about a week or so (I think).
DeleteYour dogs have a wonderful life. Love seeing all those happy pups! Those Petfinder photos are so important. That's where I first saw Wrigs, and the rest is history.

Ah...thanks! I think they have it pretty good. I agree with you about the Petfinder photos, they can catch someone's interest and give a deserving dog a chance.
